I've dined in several Chinatown restaurants over the years. One of my favorites is a Vietnamese restaurant called Phò Xe Lua on Race Street near 9th. ("Xe lua" means "the train" in Vietnamese, and there's a big neon locomotive with the name of the place on it in its front window.)

May 8, 2019 · Downtown Brooklyn puts you in a better spot in terms of commuting to 8th ave and Bay parkway for chinese food in Brooklyn (D,N trains) also closer to Elmhurst and Flushing (G train and then 7/M trains) while the Q train can take you to Chinatown one stop away. Downtown Brooklyn is close to Trader's Joe, Wholefood, Target, + Fulton Malls.

Jul 14, 2008 · I used to live in Bayside. If you like Asian places (restaurants, bars) then you'll be in heaven with K-town to the east and Chinatown to the west (Flushing). But you're going to want to budget in a car to really fully enjoy the area. Otherwise make absolutely sure you're as close to Bell Blvd and Northern Blvd as possible. BTW, $1195 is too ...
