The Toyota Corolla Axio currently starts at ¥1,639,600 ($10,800), making it significantly cheaper than the global-market Corolla sedan

It might not be very exciting to look at, but the Corolla Axio is an honest and affordable little sedan and wagon sold in very few markets outside of Japan.

Toyota has announced that it will end production of the Corolla Axio and the Corolla Fielder station wagon in Japan by October 2025.

This old Corolla generation is still available in Japan, but not for long. $10,000 cars still exist–you just have to know where to look for them. One place is India, where you can pay only four figures for a brand-new Skoda crossover or a Honda sedan.
