President Donald Trump ’s administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture slashed two programs that gave more than $1 billion annually to help schools and food banks buy food from local farms nationwide,

The program allowed the North Texas Food Bank to buy produce and meat from local Texas farmers instead of larger companies. Now, that will all come to an end.
