For 25 years, Charlie Trotter’s restaurant in Lincoln Park would draw people from all over the world who would fly into Chicago just to try his famous tasting menu. Trotter was a visionary.

The 47th Street location was open for 10 years. Another longtime Chicago staple, Tarantino’s, is closing in Lincoln Park. The Italian restaurant at 1112 W. Armitage Avenue, debuted in 1995.
