Thousands rallied against President Trump in D.C. and across the U.S. on Monday to protest policies including his administration's efforts to make sweeping cuts to government agencies and jobs and its push to deport undocumented immigrants.

Sasha Jakob, a 9th grade student in Iowa, said they felt like they were part of a team on Wednesday. Jakob said they were on a multi-day service trip for their school, Scattergood Friends School in West Branch, and the protest was added to the agenda.

Among the key issues drawing protesters to the streets was the removal of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuelans.
