A large number of Mississippians will return to the polls on Aug. 5 to vote in special elections for several legislative districts.

A panel of three Federal judges ordered the Mississippi Legislature to redraw its electoral map, and that means new lines for five State House of Representatives seats in our area.

Ten legislative districts will see contested special elections later this year thanks to a court-ordered redistricting.
