Officials working with Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency sought access to the Treasury Department payment system to stop money from flowing to the U.S. Agency for International Development.

The U.S. DOGE Service, the group run by billionaire Elon Musk, is facing new lawsuits and court orders in its attempts to wrest control over various government agencies. In one action on Thursday, a judge issued an order allowing only two named DOGE officials to have access to a Treasury Department system that makes billions of dollars in annual payments on behalf of the government.
