Buffalo Bills running back James Cook takes pressure off the NFL's MVP in his quarterback, Josh Allen. After a great season, both individually and as a team, Cook is ready to get the bag. In an appearance on Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson, Cook got candid when asked about whether he should be the NFL's highest paid running back.

James Cook believes he's worth $15 million per season, but despite two fine seasons, the Bills running back probably isn't going to get that.

A $15 million average make Cook the NFL's second-highest paid running back. San Francisco's Christian McCaffrey, who signed a two-year, $38 million extension, is the only running back making at least $15 million per year. It'd put Cook ahead of Indianapolis' Jonathan Taylor ($14 million).

The only running backs on the list higher than Cook were Kyren Williams (Los Angeles Rams), Jonathan Taylor (Indianapolis Colts), Josh Jacobs (Green Bay Packers), Bijan Robinson (Atlanta Falcons), Jahmyr Gibbs (Detroit Lions), Derrick Henry (Baltimore Ravens) and Saquon Barkley (Philadelphia Eagles).

Cook said during a podcast appearance with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson that "I just want to get what I deserve." As for what that means, well, Cook previously hinted during an Instagram Live session that what he's looking for is $15 million per year.
