Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., the heaviest snow will fall, bringing anywhere from three to five hours of snowfall to a given location. Areas west of Interstate 39 will see earlier snow arrivals, while areas east of Interstate 57 will see the latest.

The first bands of moderate to heavy snow moved across Chicagoland on Wednesday afternoon. Snow and slush will create hazardous travel for the Midwest as a snowstorm treks across the region. FOX Weather Correspondent Robert Ray reports from downtown Chicago where snow is covering the cityscape.
