"Pink Pony Club" singer Chappell Roan made a plea to labels to pursue protections for musical artists, and Universal Music Group is looking to help.

The “Espresso” singer donated $25,000 to the campaign. During Roan’s speech at the Grammys, Carpenter had tears in her eyes as Roan pleaded for better health care for her musical colleagues. Lauv matched a similar donation of $25,000, adding: “Artists need health care and this is an amazing start to the convo!”

Singer Chappell Roan and ex-music executive Jeff Rabhan now seem to be at loggerheads. It goes back to the singer’s Grammy acceptance speech for Best New Artist on February 3, 2024, in which she highlighted the lack of health insurance facilities from record labels.
