For the first time in the history of the Olympics, two cities will share hosting duties in 2026. The XXV Olympic Winter Games will take place from February 6 through February 22, 2026.

Kim, who will be 25 come the Milan Cortina Games, can become the first snowboarder to win the same Olympic event three times, if she isn’t beaten to it by Austrian Anna Gasser (big air) and Czech Ester Ledecka (parallel giant slalom).

Alpine skiing will be divided between Cortina (for the women’s events) and Bormio (for the men) — which are separated by a 5 ½-hour drive. Livigno will host freestyle skiing and snowboarding, biathlon will be in Anterselva, Nordic events will be in Val di Fiemme and ice sports in Milan.
