Amazon is now rolling out a service where its Prime members can order their blueberries and milk at the same time as their batteries and other basic items.

It's also introducing thousands of perishable grocery items to its offerings, and will expand services to a total of 2,300 new locales by the end of 2025. The move positions Amazon as a strong competitor to Instacart and Walmart+, both of which offer same-day grocery delivery services.

The e-commerce giant announced on Wednesday that same-day delivery for perishable grocery items, including meat and seafood, is now available in more than 1,000 cities, including Phoenix, Orlando, Raleigh, and Milwaukee. It plans to expand the service even further to over 2,300 U.S. cities by the end of the year and even more towns in 2026.
