Thinking about doing the River Taxi from Navy Pier to Union Station. Once docked at Union Station about how many steps are there up to the street level? One person in our party has problems with steps. Also, can give an estimate of how long it takes from Navy Pier to Union Station? Thanks so much......

There are more than a few steps, and you not only have to walk down, when you reach your destination you have to walk back up. If someone has a problem with steps, I think they are going to struggle. I don't know exactly how many steps, but probably more than 20. There could be even more and you have to double that... I've not gone to Navy Pier, only from Union Station to Michigan Avenue, but it took maybe 10 minutes. We spent longer waiting for the boat than the boat ride actually took, as they leave at specific times.
Do they sell snacks or drinks on the taxi? Or is that only offered on the actual tours?

I am bringing my 6 year old granddaughter to CHI by train to go to the American Girl store in Water Tower. If we take the Water Taxi from Union Station/Madison St., where would we disembark to get to Water Tower? How far is the walk from the taxi to Water Tower? Thank you.

Looking at a map, it would appear you can get off at Michigan Ave., which is only about a 10-15 minute ride on the water taxi. Should be a short walk from the stop.
